During their annual Alumni Weekend, the Colleges of Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry, and Medicine honor alumni who have made significant contributions to their specified profession. The Outstanding Alumnus Award is the most prestigious award offered by the Colleges' Alumni Associations.

The College of Nursing also awards a "Most Supportive Alumnus Award" to the alumnus who has shown a continued interest in and support of the UT College of Nursing.

College of Dentistry

On Friday, March 6, Dentistry's 2009 Outstanding Alumni - John H. Sullivan, DDS, and James B. Summitt, DDS, MS - received their awards during a noon luncheon at the Hilton Memphis Hotel.


College of Nursing

Two College of Nursing graduates will be honored at the Alumni Awards Banquet on Fri, May 8 at the Hilton Memphis during Nursing Alumni Day. Mona Wicks, PhD, RN, will receive the Outstanding Alumna Award, and Suzanne Meeks , BSN, MSN, MA will be named Most Supportive Alumna.

College of Medicine

The University of Tennessee College of Medicine Alumni Council has selected four alumni to receive the University of Tennessee College of Medicine Alumni Association's 2008 Outstanding Alumni Award: Robert G. Demos, M.D., A. Richard Grossman, M.D., Robert A. Kerlan, M.D., FACP, and Randal S. Weber, M.D., FACS. This award was created to give special recognition to University of Tennessee graduates who have distinguished themselves in their medical practice, their profession, and in their community.


College of Pharmacy

On Friday, November 6th Timothy L. Tucker (‘88) will be recognized as the 2009 Outstanding Alumnus, and John A. Gans will be the recipient of the Distinguished Service to Pharmacy Award at the 2009 Alumni Awards and Reunion Luncheon .
