Audiology
Purpose
A paid traineeship is available for
two Graduate level students in audiology. Audiology trainees
spend 10-20 hours per week at the Center assessing children’s
hearing abilities and serving on the interdisciplinary evaluation
teams. Objecitves
- Accurately matches and/or adapts screening procedures to all populations, selects appropriate screening criteria, administers and scores screening instruments (s) efficiently, interprets results, and makes appropriate recommendations.
- Accurately establishes a treatment plan appropriate for the client as part of single discipline and interdisciplinary evaluation team.
- Listens, reflects, and explains information using terminology appropriate to the audience. Engages in child/family in problem-solving activities
- Consistently provides clear and meaningful educational information to facilitate the acceptance and treatment of disabilities associated with communication disorders.
Description
All trainees and the fellow are supervised
by certified and licensed Speech-Language Pathologists and
Audiologists.
