Intramural Sports Program

The mission of the Intramural Sports Program is to provide our students, faculty, staff, and their spouses, with a variety of recreational opportunities in team, dual, and individual sports. The program exists to help students relieve stress, interact with students from other classes, get exercise, and introduce students to lifetime recreational activities.

Our goal is to assist individuals in learning about recreation, leisure and health. Activities offered are on a voluntary basis as an integral part of the total educational objectives of UTHSC. The Intramural rules and policies provide for equitable and enjoyable participation. It is vital for participants to uphold the rules and to encourage their teammates and spectators to do the same. Rules for conduct in the Intramural Program coincide with the university codes of conduct and discipline.

  • There is a one time, non refundable $20 entry fee for each team at the beginning of every semester. Once the fee is paid a team may participate in any sport offered that semester. Any new team after the first sport of each semester must pay the $20 team fee.
  • There is no fee for single player tournaments.
  • To register your team, the roster form must be filled out completely Incomplete roster forms will not be accepted.
