Personal Training
Personal Training is available for those who would like one-on-one instruction, need motivation, want to redesign their current program, are training for a specific goal or event, or are recovering from an injury or illness. Your Personal Trainer will evaluate your current fitness level and personal goals, prescribe a balanced program, monitor you closely, measure your progress, and teach you to be independent.
Workout sessions can be a combination of cardiovascular training, strength training, flexibility, or a variety of other activities. You will receive an individualized program to follow on the days you do not meet with a trainer. All UT Memphis Campus Recreation Personal Trainers are certified through a national organization.

Directions for Setting Up an Appointment
You must be a UT Health Science Center student or Recreation Center member. You must pay and pick up an instruction sheet from the Campus Recreation during operating hours before your appointment can be made. Once you have paid, your trainer will contact you to set up an appointment and discuss goals.
You must notify your personal trainer 24 hours prior to a canceled appointment or you lose that appointment. Appointments that are more than 15 minutes late will be rescheduled. Note: you may be required to obtain a physician approval prior to your assessment.
Fees
- Body Fat Analysis (3 Measurements): $10.00
- Initial Intake and First Session: $40.00
- Each Additional Session: $25.00
