Welcome to the University of Tennessee's Christian Medical and Dental
Associations Chapter web page! From premed to practicing physician, we hope you will
find this site both informative and encouraging.
Our Mission
To change hearts in healthcare. This mission will be accomplished in the following
five ways:
Bring people to Christ.
Raise up the next generation of Christian doctors.
Sacrificially serve those in need.
Integrate our faith into our practices.
Speak out as the trusted Christian voice on bioethics and healthcare to our culture.
About Us

After more than a decade of teaching healthcare providers how to integrate their faith
with medicine, the UT Chapter of CMDA continues to be active at the student, resident, and
graduate physician levels. Since its inception, the available opportunities to serve
and grow have expanded greatly- praise God. We encourage you to surf our site to
discover how you can join us as we seek the Lord in Memphis. Our Chapter is a local
chapter of the national organization, Christian Medical and Dental Associations.
Since 1997, Ken Nippert, M.Div.
has served as the Memphis Area Director for CMDA. He was appointed by the local
Executive Committee and CMDA and serves as an administrative presence to spearhead the
efforts and programs offered by the local Chapter.

Our fearless leader, Ken, to our chagrin (and his misunderstanding...) does
not endorse the above orange and white logo for which we hold much affection. Thus
to accurately reflect his bias, we have included an unfamiliar and awkward red and white
symbol that has received very little recent attention. Go Vols.
