Oral Pathology in Everyday Practice
December 11, 2009
8:30am - 12:30pm
4 credit hours; $109 per dentist and $89 per auxiliary. Morning coffee
will be provided.
Course Description:
This course is based on the adage that “common things are commoner than you
think as rare things are rarer than you think”. Therefore, the course will
very well serve as a ‘primer’ in clinical oral pathology. Filled with
numerous high resolution clinical and radiographic pictures, the discussion of
approximately 75 such entities will highlight the diagnostic features and
suggest management, if at all required. The spectrum of entities covered will
include developmental alterations of the mucosa, bone and teeth, sequela of
odontogenic infections, effects of physical and chemical insult, common
ulcerative conditions, warts and benign growths, pigmentation disorders
including moles (nevi), skin cancer and its precursor lesions, benign bone
changes and common odontogenic lesions.
