Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program

APPLICATION PROCESS AND SELECTION

The University of Tennessee, accepts up to 10 applicants per year through the National Residency Matching Program. The program is competitive, and solid academic credentials should be considered necessary prerequisites. Approximately 100 interviews are granted and are divided over 6-7 interview dates.

Interview Dates for the 2009-2010 year are:

December 3, 2009
December 10, 2009
December 17, 2009
January 7, 2010

Interested applicants should complete the AAMC Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) application. Our application deadline is November 30, 2009.

A complete application consists of:

• ERAS Application
• Personal Statement
• Transcript
• Dean's Letter
• USMLE or COMLEX Scores
• 3 letters of Recommendation (OB/GYN Chair Highly desired)

Deadline for applications through ERAS is November 30, 2009 at 10:59 CST. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered for an interview.

Positions are offered through the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP).
