Pediatric Otolaryngology

 
 

The rotation in Pediatric Otolaryngology is primarily based at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital. This is a 225 bed tertiary referral center emphasizing general pediatric otolaryngology as well as unique problems associated with the pediatric airway, otologic disease, congenital malformations, and neoplasms. Additional experience at St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital further enhances enriches this rotation, providing exposure to unusual oncologic and immunopathologic disorders affecting the pediatric population. The rotation, performed in the OTO-Y2 year, is under the direction of Dr. Thompson with involvement of Drs. Macdonald and Stocks, as well as other UTMG faculty. The latest innovations in surgical technology are available at LeBonheur, including image-guided surgical navigation and robotic surgery.
