Welcome! Thank you for your interest in our program! Our offices are located in the Boling Center in the medical center in Memphis, Tennessee, and we have training sites at several locations around town.


Primary Training Sites

  • Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center
    Fellows have the opportunity to learn about consultation-liaison psychiatry as they see patients at a comprehensive pediatric medical center.
  • Saint Francis Hospital
    Fellows evaluate and treat child and adolescent psychiatry patients at our own inpatient unit at a private, full-service hospital.
  • Memphis City Schools
    Fellows work with children and adolescents in the public school system’s day treatment program. Students go into the day treatment program when their psychiatric problems prevent them from being able to attend school in a regular classroom setting.

Structure

We are currently approved by the ACGME to have two PGY-4 level residents, and two PGY-5 level residents. The residents will rotate through our primary training sites for six month rotations, and will have opportunities to do rotations at elective sites as well.

Didactics

Our fellows attend didactics taught by our regular and voluntary faculty, as well as faculty from other UT departments such as pediatric neurology and developmental pediatrics. Here is a list of didactics offered.

Call

We have no on-site call, but with supervision from our faculty, our fellows participate in a call rotation to provide after-hours and weekend coverage for the Le Bonheur consult service, the Saint Francis inpatient unit, and for their outpatients.
